Mike GLC

The Hit Men is the idea of illustrator and writer Mike GLC. The Hit Men idea came to him 6 years ago whilst he was serving time in Wandsworth jail. Whilst in jail Mike had drawn and written the story to a comic which at the time he had called Drake which was about an ex marine who started up a mercenary group.

He had always promised that one day he would finish the comic and fully develop the idea but life caught up to him and he never got round to it as Mike is also a rapper who has sold over 160’000 records and he also went on to develop a successful street team and a casting agency, finding himself working alongside the likes of CH4, BBC3, N Dubz, Robbie Williams and many more.

After another unfortunate run in with the law he finally decided to take some time out and became a recluse for three years focusing solely on creating his comic and developing business ideas. Whilst spending some time in Nottingham he would often watch his friends play a computer game called Hit Man and he then saw the film of the same title.

After seeing this he was so inspired by the lead character and the way that a life of a trained killer would really be, he then began to think what it would be like if you got all the different types of trained killers from across the world and combine them together all in one unstoppable team.

The Hit Men looks pretty good. I wish Mike the best of luck with this project.

Tulisa partying with rapper Mike GLC

N-Dubz star and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has been allegedly exposed as a drugs fixer after she boasted to an undercover reporter from The Sun that she could get him any drugs he wanted saying,

“Half the guys I know are drug dealers. One’s a massive cocaine dealer. He’s my best friend. He’s a gangster — he’s my gangster.”

According to the newspaper her dealer friend is rapper Mike GLC who allegedly sold £800 worth of cocaine to the undercover reporter after Tulisa had sent text messages asking him to sort the transaction out. The reporter then spoke to Mike, who said he only supplied wholesale quantities of the drug and eventually agreed to sell half an ounce for £800, with an added £20 for delivery costs.

Representatives for Tulisa have declined to comment on the story (no surprise there).

When the desperation to be seen as ‘hood’, cool and down with the ‘man dem’ goes oh so wrong.

If this is all true then Tulisa will have to delete the majority of numbers in her phone book (the man dem must be bricking it as I type) and then she needs to think long and hard about her future.

As for her friend Mike GLC… Oh dear. If Mike GLC is the UK’s answer to Pablo Escobar, then I suggest he gets on the blower to his legal team ASAP!

What I find interesting is that a lot of these guys are tearing in to chatterbox Tulisa but turn a blind eye to Mike’s equally foolish antics and attempt to make excuses for him. It is actually bordering on comical now.

First you hear the man behind the camera saying “nah s**t happens doe fam” in response to Narstie addressing Mike’s “alleged” part in this mess and then Narstie goes on to say “FREE MIKE”.

“S**t happens”… “FREE MIKE” ??? Stop chat nonsense and get your minds right!

If you make the decision to sling poison like your name’s Pablo Escobar then you have no one to blame but yourself when it all hits the fan, and have no choice but to face the consequences of your actions.

Rapper Mike GLC outside police station earlier today

BBC Newsbeat reports tha Tulisa Contostavlos has been bailed after being arrested for the supply of class A drugs along with her rapper best friend Mike GLC.

Asked about reports that Tulisa Contostavlos had been arrested the Met Police said: “Officers from Westminster have arrested two people – a 35-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – on suspicion of supplying class-A drugs.

The police have since confirmed that both people have been bailed, pending further inquiries, until a date later in July.

We are innocent. We haven’t been charged.

Anyone can edit or chop things together on video.

The truth will come out in the end. I don’t want to go into much more detail.

I am going home to be with my family. This is ruining my life. I am not a drug dealer. I have never sold drugs in my life.

Mike GLC added that any evidence caught on camera had been “taken out of context” and the duo were “set up”.

Right now Mike is thigh high in horse manure so why is he standing outside of a police station talking to the press? He shouldn’t be saying anything. Who is advising him?

After being released on bail Mike should have been seen walking in SILENCE past the press and towards a waiting car or jumping on the first bus home.

And note when he says “WE are innocent”. This man better start thinking about his own defence, survival and future because I can almost guarantee that Tulisa isn’t thinking about him and is probably saying “I AM innocent”. There is no “WE are innocent” coming out of her mouth.

If charged Mike better get down on his knees and pray for top class legal representation.

35 year old rapper Mike GLC’s profile went up a notch last weekend after tabloid rag The Sun exposed him and his good friend 24 year old N-Dubz star and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos in an “alleged” drugs sting (CLICK HERE) and (CLICK HERE).

Tulisa, who is currently hiding out in her rented £6 million mansion and Mike have both been released on bail.

Since then their fans and fellow artists have come out in support to protest their innocence and have even gone as far as to blame The Sun (who after Levenson are back on their exposé grind) of “snitching” and “entrapment”.

And now one fan proclaims “Mike GLC is the founder of UK Hip Hop”.

N-Dubz star and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos (24) really needs to find herself a better class of friends and staff.

Tabloid rag The Sun reports that Tulisa’s personal assistant Gareth Varey  (27) sent a death threat to the reporter who exposed the star and her “best friend” rapper Mike GLC (35) in an ‘alleged’ drugs sting.

Original gangsta and bad man Varey sent the following email to the reporter:

 “I’m going to kill  you bitch.”

The police questioned Varey and formally cautioned him over the offence. He had no choice but to admit to this offence and has apologised.

I would like to know why the personal assistant of a celebrity has been getting so much press coverage of late. Even before The Sun’s expose Gareth always seemed to be mentioned (by name) in news articles alongside shots of him living the ‘highlife’ with Tulisa.  When has the press ever paid this much attention to a personal assistant?

Rapper Mike GLC gives his first interview (not counting the ‘interview’ with the press outside the police station) since The Sun newspaper’s ‘drugs sting’ expose in June which also involved former X-Factor judge and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos.

Who is Mike’s legal representative? Does he have one?  The investigation in to this drugs sting debacle is still ongoing so should he really be discussing the situation?  His best friend Tulisa is in Ibiza without him posing for the paparazzi (she has them on speed dial) alongside her mate Chelsee Healey and “personal assistant” Gareth Varey , but is keeping her mouth shut. He would be wise to do the same.

The rest of this interview just descends in to a huge ball of confusion for me when Mike starts talking about his music career amongst other things. E.g.  ”when I first started rapping you weren’t rapping to rappers… there wasn’t rappers…”

Since The Sun newspaper’s alleged ‘drugs sting’ expose in June involving 35 year old rapper Mike GLC and 24 year old former X-Factor judge and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos,  Mike has been quite vocal at times about the alleged sting and continues to defend his ‘good friend’ Tulisa.

In a recent tweet the rap star and entrepreneur said:

While Mike is busy ‘speaking out’ and playing the knight in shining armour, none of us has heard a PEEP out of Tulisa since the proverbial hit the fan back in June. I don’t hear or see Tulisa defending Mike publicly or referring to The Sun’s expose in any form of social media.

Also several weeks ago Tulisa was photographed on holiday in Ibiza alongside actress Chelsee Healey and “personal assistant” Gareth Varey . Up until The Sun’s expose photographs of Mike holidaying with the N-Dubz star could be seen all over the Daily Mail website, but this time around it seems he was not invited to the party.

When a criminal investigation of this nature is still under way all parties involved are instructed by their solicitors to keep silent. Tulisa is observing this silence while her legal representative gets on with the important job of trying to find loop holes in the law that will help his client.

Mike’s behaviour baffles me. He should start observing the same silence for his OWN SAKE because I doubt that team Tulisa is thinking about his plight right now.

Rapper Mike GLC (real name Michael Coombs) pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine when he appeared alongside Former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos at London’s Southwark Crown Court this morning.

Contostavlos, 26, is due to stand trial after she denied being concerned in brokering the alleged drug deal which was exposed by the Sun on Sunday.

It’s claimed the singer told undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood, dubbed the “fake sheikh”, that she could arrange for him to buy cocaine from Coombs between May 20 and May 24 last year.

Coombs was secretly filmed selling the Class A drug to an undercover reporter at the Dorchester Hotel.

According to the Daily Mirror:

Coombs gave Contostavlos a quick kiss on the cheek and hug and stroked her face as he left the dock.

Bailing Coombs, Judge Alistair McCreath told the rapper he would be sentenced at the end of Contostavlos’ trial.

He said: “Michael Coombs, I’ll sentence you at the conclusion of the proceedings against your co-defendant, whatever that conclusion may be.

“In the meantime I’ll permit you to keep your bail, but you must understand that consists of no sort of indication as to what sentence you’ll get at the end of it.

“On that understanding you may go.”

After he was released on bail last year Coombs told waiting reporters:

We are innocent. We haven’t been charged.

A grown man pushing  40 really should have known better.

In reality the man didn’t have a leg to stand on and had no choice but to plead guilty. He may get a lighter sentence now.

Singer and TV star Tulisa Contostavlos’s trial over drugs allegations has collapsed.

Judge Alistair McCreath told Southwark Crown Court he thought prosecution witness Mazher Mahmood had lied in giving evidence.

Mr Mahmood claimed Ms Contostavlos, 26, had brokered a deal through her friend Mike GLC to supply Class A drugs.

The Sun journalist Mr Mahmood has been “suspended pending an internal investigation” the newspaper said.

Michael Coombs who pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine to Mahmood , also had the case dropped against him.

In a statement Tulisa said:

“Mahmood got me and my team completely intoxicated and persuaded me to act the part of a bad ghetto girl. They recorded this and produced it as evidence when I thought it was an audition. It was a terrible thing to do.”

Rapper Mike GLC (real name Michael Coombs) has posted a series of tweets this morning blasting former “best friend” Tulisa Contostavlos over her treatment of him after the pair were caught up in a drug sting together last year. 

Contostavlos pleaded ‘not guilty’ while Coombs pleaded ‘GUILTY’ to supplying cocaine to an undercover reporter. However both walked free in July after the trial collapsed.

After the trial collapsed, BBC Three aired the fly on the wall documentary ‘Tulisa: The Price of Fame’ which followed the star during the lead up to the trial, and now it looks like the former X Factor judge’s career could be back on track. She will appear on this year’s X Factor as a mentor.

Prior to the trial Coombs would often go out of his way to defend Tulisa. On one occasion the misguided rapper tweeted,

Fast forward to August 24, 2014 and Coombs is tweeting a different tune, blasting his former friend and asking for help. He has even reached out to fellow artist Lethal B (who has had his own issues with Tulisa), but so far no reply from Lethal.

If Lethal has any sense he will continue to promote his new single and stay out of this foolishness.

So Mike considers a woman ‘ugly’ if she dare’s to challenge him and what is comical about a  man holding down a steady and respectable 9-5 job?  If Mike had been holding down a respectable 9-5 job instead of running up and down with Tulisa and co, hyped up on her celebrity, then maybe he wouldn’t be in this predicament now.  

This really is a black man in crisis.

Over the weekend Michael Coombs aka Mike GLC went on an epic Twitter  rant and accused former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos of betraying  him. This comes after the former friends were caught up in a drug sting last year, but both walked free in June after the trial collapsed.

Coombs was caught on camera selling cocaine to an undercover reporter in a hotel room (£800 worth plus a £20 delivery charge) and later pleaded “guilty” to supplying the Class A drug. Contostavlos pleaded “not guilty”.

Now an angry Mike has given an “EXCLUSIVE” interview to Heat Magazine.

Why are you speaking out?

I feel betrayed by Tulisa. She was like my little sister, and she’s left me with nothing. I don’t hate her – I’m just disappointed at how she’s treated me. I lost my business, my home, my family. No one wanted to be associated with me. I had to sleep in my office for four months and lived off handouts and the kindness of friends who stuck by me. I have always been loyal to Tulisa. She’s done nothing to help me when I needed it the most.

Why did you get involved with the scheme, proposed by the Fake Sheikh?

Obviously, none of us knew it was a sting. I just knew she’d been offered this amazing deal.  It was a starring role in a film with some talk of Leonardo DiCaprio being involved, and she flew us out to Marbella as a celebration. We sat in the kitchen the night before, talking about the money, her life and what would happen next. I even planned to go to America with her for a couple of months.

So what happened when Tulisa texted you?

Tulisa sent a text- and it wasn’t just to me – asking for help. [The newspaper recorded Tulisa saying "Half my phone book sells it".]

You did turn up to that hotel with drugs. Why did you do it? Were you doing it to help her?

I wanted to help her, because she was a good friend to me. I never would have been there if I hadn’t answered that text, I am not a drug dealer.  In return I’d get to meet the film producer. All I wanted was to help Tulisa and make the contacts. After the arrest, she promised to help me out, but as the weeks passed, she contacted me less. Since then we’ve barely spoken.

What did you make of her documentary? [Tulisa: The Price of Fame]

I knew nothing about it. I think she hid it all from me. I asked her to come outside and get some fresh air while we were in court [over the Fake Sheikh sting] and she told me she didn’t want to. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now I suppose it was because she didn’t want the filmmakers seeing us together. I don’t know that person in the documentary. I’ve never met her in my life. Her family aren’t the closest thing in the world, and then suddenly she’s calling her mum. The “poor me” act- she wasn’t going to prison, so what about poor me?

Have you spoken to her since the trial ended?

She sent me one text message, I’ve heard nothing else. I don’t blame her for how she’s acting, but I’m still angry. If you said to Tulisa now, “Mike is upset with you”, she would act like she had no idea what was going on, but really she’d know full well what she’d done. Perhaps she doesn’t think my life is as important as hers. It feels like she doesn’t care about what happens to me or what is going on in my life. We’ll never be friends again.

Laugh or cry?

After reading the interview in Heat Magazine a friend of mine asked this question,

When is Mike going to take responsibility for his own idiocy?

Good question!

Tulisa and Mike once claimed to be “best friends” but in my opinion both were just using each other.

Big old 36-year-old Mike was just looking for a ‘come up’ off the back of 24-year-old Tulisa’s D-list celebrity status, but it blew up in his face.

As for Tulisa, she probably believed that Mike’s hulking presence would elevate her “street cred” stats.

So now you want to speak on racism, rally the troops and “fight the power” Mike?

You were filmed selling drugs to an undercover reporter, pleaded guilty to the charge and then walked away a free man.

If I were you black man, I would stop bawling about Tulisa to publications and keep my head down.

Mike GLC (real name Michael Coombs) has given an “EXCLUSIVE” interview to OK! Magazine and speaks about facing a court trail alongside former friend and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, after the pair were caught up in a drugs sting together last year.

Coombs was filmed selling cocaine to an undercover reporter in a hotel room (he charged the reporter £800 plus a £20 delivery charge) and later pleaded “guilty” to supplying the Class A drug. Contostavlos pleaded “not guilty” to brokering the drug deal.

Now the rapper insists during this OK! interview that “My side of the story has never been allowed to come out”.

I can’t quite figure out if OK! Magazine is experiencing a slow news day or if they were in need of a good laugh at Mike’s expense.

What exactly is his side of the story?  Does anyone know? None of what comes out of Mike’s mouth makes any sense.  Is he saying he’s innocent?

Mike has failed miserably to tell “his side of the story” in this interview and on the recently released Tulisa diss record, My Little Sister, where he reveals that he would have died for Tulisa.

REALLY MIKE?  REALLY? 

How naive.

The reality is the man was filmed by The Sun selling drugs to an undercover reporter and the footage was then posted on their website/YouTube for the world to see.  I am guessing that he was also advised to plead guilty because there was video evidence proving his guilt. Under those circumstances I don’t quite know how a barrister would have been able to argue his innocence.

“My legal team told me to plead guilty” –  But Mike you were guilty.

Did ridiculous Tulisa (who still in her early 20s is practically a pickney compared to Mike) force this grown man to sell drugs to what turned out to be an undercover reporter?

Nobody put a gun to Mike’s head and he traipsed to the Dorchester Hotel that day of his own free will.

He should have known better.

In a previous interview with Heat Magazine, Mike was asked why he did it and replied:

I wanted to help her, because she was a good friend to me. I never would have been there if I hadn’t answered that text, I am not a drug dealer.  In return I’d get to meet the film producer. All I wanted was to help Tulisa and make the contacts. After the arrest, she promised to help me out, but as the weeks passed, she contacted me less. Since then we’ve barely spoken.

This was also about personal gain, which later blew up in his face.

Mike was hoping to flog a film project to Hollywood executives, an “urban” Oliver Twist, and Tulisa was apparently going to play Nancy (I have not made any of this up).

At some point this 37-year-old man has to stop playing the blame game and needs  to start taking responsibility for his part in all this.

It doesn’t matter how many mainstream publications invite Mike to tell “his side of the story” (they really don’t care about you Mike). The big, dead behind the eyes black man/rapper caught on camera selling class A drugs who  later pleaded guilty to supplying drugs, will never succeed in bringing Tulisa down and will never be taken seriously. 

So if I were Mike, I would keep my head down and my mouth shut.

Not content with speaking to any publication that is willing to listen, rapper Mike GLC has now released a film trailer which once again addresses the court  trial he faced alongside former “friend” and X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

I repeat…

Did ridiculous Tulisa (who still in her early 20s is practically a pickney compared to Mike) force a big old man, pushing 40 to sell drugs to what turned out to be an undercover reporter?

Nobody put a gun to Mike’s head and he traipsed to the Dorchester Hotel that day of his own free will.

At some point this 37-year-old man has to stop looking for sympathy, stop playing the blame game and needs  to start taking responsibility for his part in all this.

The interviews, the diss record and now this film trailer, is not going to ruin Tulisa’s comeback.  Neither the media nor the public is going to take the words of  a black man who was caught selling drugs and later pleaded guilty seriously. That is a FACT.

Regular Mad News readers already know my thoughts  on the ridiculous Mike GLC/Tulisa affair.

Seriously if Mike continues to go on like this it won’t be long before he becomes another statistic, sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
